The "Dictionary of Rhyming Slang" by Julian Franklyn (author of “The Cockney”), published in 1960 by Routledge, is a specialised dictionary focused on rhyming slang. This first edition hardcover book serves as a valuable reference for understanding various forms of rhyming slang, including Cockney and some Australian usages. Nice to see the work was dedicated by the author to the great contemporary word expert Eric Partridge (who is also referenced in the book and index). Well-read copy. Wear/marks to cloth cover and spine faded. Ownership stamps to endpaper and also some (interesting) annotations here and there in the text, and odd pages with bit of crease to corners. pp. i-x, 1-180 includes index.
