The Edward Wrangham Collection of Japanese Art Part I. Wrangham was born into a wealthy English landowning family. His uncle, William Winkworth, and grandfather Stephen Winkworth, were both experts in Oriental arts, the latter among the co-founders of the Oriental Ceramic Society.
